2013 Holiday Brunch and Home Tour

 

Instead of having the annual brunch and the open house tour on 2 different days, we decided to combine the 2 events on the same day this year. Our annual holiday brunch at the Mandarin Chinese buffet restaurant took place on Saturday January 5th. More than 40 club members showed up for this wonderful event. Not only everyone enjoyed a delicious meal, all had a good time mingling with friends and fellow collectors with a view of a large aquarium filled with exotic fish.

After the meal, we headed off to 2 different open houses. The hosts at each open house welcomed their guests with open arms and showcased their wonderful collections. Bruce M. showed off his various Christmas themes and unique decorations and ornaments while Lise and Rick did a fantastic job in displaying their Department 56 Snowbabies/Village/Santa collections and Disney collectible figurines throughout their lovely (and meticulously organized) home.

2012 Home Tour

On an unseasonably warm Winter day, many club members ventured out to Darlene and Lucy’s homes for our annual home tour.   Once again, we were all treated with fantastic displays of magnificent lit-buildings, such as churches, inns, cottages, etc along with a variety of accessories and buildings equipped with visual and animated effects.   Not only did we find Department 56 village and Snowbabies products throughout the homes, but also plenty of other unique Christmas collectibles and items.  Our gracious hosts definitely made their visitors feel welcome with big hugs, warm hospitality and delicious treats.
